Hospital stay checklist

Utensils that you should take with you to hospital when performing joint replacement surgery:

  • bathrobe, underwear, socks
  • Trainer with wide foot entry, comfortable clothes
  • Comfortable shoes (possibly slippers, sneakers) with non-slip rubber soles and firm grip as well as easy entry (e.g. Velcro), a long shoehorn
  • Any medication that you take regularly (preferably in the original package)
  • Glasses/hearing aids/dentures/walking aids (if applicable)
  • Agenda and address book
  • possibly reading, laptop
