Raphaël Kohlprath

About me

Growing up in the mountains of the canton of Valais has profoundly shaped my approach to medicine, with a constant focus on the individual needs of my patients. I value personal, uncomplicated care. My goal as an orthopedic surgeon is to help patients regain a pain-free, functional joint—allowing them to return to the activities they enjoy. My interest in «la mécanique du corps» has accompanied me since my years of study.

Alongside my work in private practice and in the hospital, I serve in the Swiss Army as Chief Medical Officer of the «Patrouille des Glaciers». Getting to know people and supporting them has always been central to who I am—first as a Boy Scout, and today as a physician and officer. Originally from the Valais Alps, I later fell in love with the Bernese Oberland, giving me an understanding of both sides of our remarkable mountain landscape.
